Fisher Price has always been a trusted and popular brand for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers when it comes to excellent standards for children’s toys. Founded in 1930 by Herman Fisher and Irving Price, the brand still continues to prove successful over the years.
The first ever line of Fisher Price toys was unveiled in 1931 at the International Toy Fair held in New York City wherein sixteen wooden toys were introduced. The set also included metal push-pull toys based from the book characters of Margaret Evans Price—the wife of Irving Price. These characters are Dr. Doodle, Granny Doodle, and a duck dressed-up with a tuxedo and a top hat. These have become the three signature toys of Fisher Price. Since then, the toy company has always been concerned of producing toys, which are also on the educational end. They believed that toys are meant to be played with and therefore, toy safety has always been valued.
